Square Root joins Google, Dell, SAP, Salesforce, Etsy, and more!
Austin, Texas (July 29, 2020) – Fast Company today announced its second annual Best Workplaces for Innovators list, honoring businesses and organizations that demonstrate a deep commitment to encouraging innovation at all levels. Square Root’s debut on the list is a testament to our ingenuity and thoughtfulness in developing a culture of innovation.
Developed in collaboration with Accenture, the 2020 Best Workplaces for Innovators ranks 100 winners from a variety of industries, including computer science, biotech, consumer packaged goods, nonprofit, education, financial services, cybersecurity, and engineering. Working together, Fast Company editors and Accenture researchers scored nearly 900 applications, and a panel of eight eminent judges reviewed and endorsed the top 100 companies. The 2020 awards feature workplaces from around the world.
“Recognition from Fast Company highlights our team of experimenters, scientists, and forever learners, as well as Square Root’s commitment to personal and professional growth. We’re continuously evolving our products, our culture, and even ourselves. ”
Square Root believes fostering an environment where our team can bring their whole selves to work is the key to innovation. Our culture nurtures authenticity, approachability, and inclusion, first, which opens the door for individuals to feel comfortable and confident in proposing + experimenting on new ideas. One of our programs, Adventures in Empathy, invites our entire company to meet with customers + users. This program allows everyone to add their unfiltered perspective and ideas to the mix, builds empathy across the company, and previously led to the development of CoEFFICIENT Visits for our hero user, the field.
“As much of the world recovers from health, economic, and social crises, we need innovation more than ever,” says Stephanie Mehta, editor-in-chief of Fast Company. “This new list of the Best Workplaces for Innovators celebrates organizations that have fostered innovative thinking by investing in technology, research and development, and their employees.”
