Bill Kennedy to lead go-to-market and organizational strategies for growth.
Square Root, creators of enterprise store relationship management software CoEFFICIENT®, today announced seasoned software executive, Bill Kennedy, as Chief Strategy Officer. Following more than five years of service as an advisor to the company, Kennedy will lead Square Root’s go-to-market strategy, helping to define new sales and operation processes to support company growth as it expands into new verticals.
In his role as Chief Strategy Officer, Kennedy will bridge his strategic and technical expertise to help solve complex business challenges for the company’s growing roster of enterprise automotive and retail brands. Prior to Square Root, Kennedy was the Director of Engineering of security products at IBM/Tivoli, led multiple Austin-based technology companies through successful acquisitions, and served on several boards, including Bomgar, Inc., acquired by private equity firm Thoma Bravo. A serial entrepreneur, Kennedy has also founded multiple companies, including Beacon Professional Services, acquired by SailPoint in 2010, and Waveset Technologies, acquired by Sun Microsystems, now Oracle.
“His leadership and experience are tremendous assets to our team, and our customers, and I’m excited to see what we’re able to accomplish in this next phase of growth.”

“When looking for the right company to join, I always consider three key things: the quality of the people, the opportunity in the market, and the ability for the team to execute. Square Root undoubtedly has all three,” said Kennedy.
