Getting data from the client is usually one of the first steps in a software implementation. However, many of these projects stall right after kick off simply because of the software company’s strict data requirements. Due to this, a lot of work unfortunately falls to the client. Teams can sometimes spend months gathering the data, converting it to specific formats, and handing it to the software company in a workable, neat package.

When clients ask what types of files they should submit, we simply say, “Give us what you have!” For example, if a business owner emails us the spreadsheet he or she is currently working in, we can begin understanding their business metrics immediately. This enables us to start designing dashboards with very little client effort. Our flexibility is one of the main reasons why our team can get up and running within a company in weeks—not months.
CONTINUOUS CYCLE OF INNOVATION
Our goal is to get working software into our client’s hands within a few weeks. To serve our clients the best results in the shortest amount of time, we aim for progress—not perfection. We don’t waste time talking about requirements and file formats. Once we’ve built out their business stories and KPIs, our client can start giving us feedback to improve them.
We work in an agile environment and update the platform every two weeks on both the data science and the development side. With this process, we’re able to receive feedback and incorporate it and changes can be made more rapidly. The result is a continuous cycle of innovation that happens while our clients are using the platform to improve their store performance.
After data onboarding, we continue to ensure updates to CoEFFICIENT follow the same flexible and iterative processes. For many data platforms, changing a dashboard or creating a new one can take months. Usually, our dashboard designs can be changed in under 48 hours, allowing us to easily and quickly reflect new data in the system. Our users receive more personalized and relevant data as a result.
