AUSTIN, Texas – September 1, 2015 – Chris Taylor, CEO of Square Root, has been recognized with the KPMG Executive Leadership Award in the Mid-Sized Division from the Austin Chamber of Commerce at the 15th Annual Greater Austin Business Awards. The awards were presented during ceremonies held on Thursday evening at the Hilton Austin. The KPMG Executive Leadership Award recognizes presidents, principals or chief executive officers for devoting time and energy to strengthen and transform the organization they lead.

“It’s truly an honor to win this award and be recognized alongside other executives in Austin,” said Chris Taylor, CEO of Square Root. “The Square Root team is a talented group who are passionate about what we do. It’s a thriving team and they inspire me everyday.”

The awards, presented by the Austin Chamber, recognize local area businesses and organizations for achievements, community contributions and milestones. It is one of the largest business events in Central Texas, bringing together 1,000 business leaders, entrepreneurs, organizations, government officials and regional chambers.

About 300 companies were nominated for the Chamber’s Business Awards. The winners were selected by an independent panel of judges except for the Most Uniquely Austin Award, which was selected by open public voting.
