Austin software company receives national recognition for dedication to community initiative.

Fortune and Great Place to Work® have named Square Root one of 50 Best Workplaces for Giving Back in America. The Austin-based provider of Store Relationship Management (SRM) software placed 8th on the 2016 list.

The inaugural Best Workplaces for Giving Back list spotlights 50 companies from across the nation where people make great impacts at work and in their communities. Winning companies were determined by both the extent to which employees feel they can make a difference in their communities and the degree of support employees have from their workplace to give back.

More than 240,000 randomly-selected employees were surveyed from nearly 600 organizations, each rating various aspects of giving back, including the difference they make at work, the meaningfulness of their jobs, and the impact they feel their organization makes in its community. Winning company’s scores were based on employees’ survey scores, as well as the generosity of its community-oriented programs, relative to its size and revenue.
