Smith to support company growth through market development and sales effort.

Square Root, the second best small workplace in the United States, has hired Fred Smith as Chief Revenue Officer. With his in-depth knowledge of solution-based sales, Smith will help execute on Square Root’s growth plans for the future. In this new role for Square Root, Fred will oversee sales strategy, day-to-day sales efforts and will be responsible for overall revenue growth.

Fred brings over 20 years of enterprise software and solution sales experience to Square Root. As the company looks to expand its market position in store relationship management with its core product CoEFFICIENT®, Fred will work to build a strong, metrics-driven sales organization. He will play a key role on the leadership team contributing to overall corporate strategy and the long-term direction of Square Root.

Smith comes from a background of varied roles, including his most recent as head of regional sales for Adometry at Google. While at Adometry, he played a crucial role in designing and implementing sales strategies to acquire, develop and grow accounts. Prior to his role at Adometry, Smith was a global accounts director at Bazaarvoice where he was responsible for the overall strategy of acquisition and management for a portfolio of financial institution accounts.

During Fred’s career, he was fortunate to be a part of Bazaarvoice during its IPO and at Adometry when it was acquired by Google. Fred graduated from The University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. Fred and his wife Lisa live in Austin with their dogs Burton and Biggie. Fred and Lisa have two children, Alton and Ashley, who also reside in Austin.
